In Kenya, society looks down on former prison inmates. But now, a private initiative is offering a re-integration program that includes training courses. Our report focuses on a female inmate who is participating in the program.
Life in African prisons is hard – and those in Kenya are no exception. Hygiene standards are low, and violence among the inmates is common. The program provides them with the skills and strategies for successful re-integration.
